We Founder Circle (WFC) is a digital-first community-driven funding/investment platform comprising founders, corporate executives, startup founders, and investors–part of the wider startup ecosystem. With about 50+ startups funded, including Glamyo Health, Kazam, Geekster, Couch Fashion, etc, and 3200 investors onboarded on to their platform so far (as per their website stats*), WFC is looking to expand pan-India through roadshows & meetups with angel investors, VCs, and startup founders by generating connect with the startup ecosystem in selected tier-1 and tier-2 cities of the country.
As part of their South Indian leg of the tour, WFC organized a road show at Welcomhotel By ITC Hotels in Coimbatore, inviting over 100+ startup investors and founders of the region, supported by BNI Coimbatore organization. Gaurav Singhvi and Saurabh Deo, the co-founders of WFC, gave a presentation on the funding platform, and took queries from the audience on the modality and mechanism of funding startups, and how private investors are roped in, joined by Bhawna Bhatnagar, the Global Community Head for WFC.
Five promising startups, which form a part of the platform’s investment portfolio, were recognized, as they shared their experience of scaling up their startup through seed funding. Participants were requested to join the WFC community through their website to know more about their network, and various education, mentorship & training courses, including an accelerator programme which is designed in collaboration with the Stanford Graduate School of Business. The meet concluded with a one-on-one session with the WFC team followed by a networking dinner.
