AIC RAISE, one of the first startup incubation centres focusing on United Nations & Sustainable Development Goals in India, located at the Rathinam Technical Campus in Coimbatore, launched a seed fund of 4 crores under the “Startup India Seed Fund Scheme” for aspiring startups. Shivarajah Ramanathan, Mission Director & CEO of Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM); Dr. Velumani, who built Thyocare, one of the largest medical diagnostic chains in India; and Uday Sankar, Deputy Director of NASSCOM, were the keynote speakers who also jointly launched the startup seed fund program. The welcome note was delivered by Dr.B.Nagaraj, Director of Operations at AIC RAISE, while Ms.Sendhil of Rathinam Group of Institutions delivered the Presidential Address.
The event also recognized some of the most active startup community creators and enablers of the Kongu region, including Dr. Periyasamy CEO NIFT-TEA, Tiruppur; Shameer, Founder of Coimbatore-based By The Startups Community; Raghavi of Founderslair and Sowmya, an entrepreneurship coach. The dignitaries welcomed AIC RAISE’s newly inducted startup incubatees with a memento . A slew of launches, including the Rathinam Startup School, Magnetic Manchester launch, and Smart City Challenge Women Hackathon, were greatly appreciated by the audience that mainly comprised startup founders, mentors, investors, and the faculty and students of the Rathinam Group of Institutions.

The networking lunch was followed by a highly interactive, informal session with Shivarajah, at AIC RAISE, in which startups cleared their doubts on various topics ranging from the support activities of TANSIM, startup entrepreneurship, funding, and mentoring to scaling startups
