Coimbatore-based Nehru Group of Institutions Technology Business Incubator (NGI-TBI) hosted a 3-Day Idea Validation Bootcamp which was organized by by Startup Payanam, a startup community in Tamilnadu. Around 25 startup teams from all over Tamilnadu, including Ticket 9, Min-Zharge, Tetryx Electrica, Nothing Undies, etc attended the bootcamp, who were first exposed to founder talks by successful startup business owners and entrepreneurs including Shyam Prashad Rajasekaran of Veg Route, Nandakumar Krishnaswamy, Hussain, a social media influencer, Abisheik Aravindan of Grad & Company, Sriram Prasad of KeeraiKadai.com, Sathish Kannan Lakshmanan of Excellence Strategies, CA Gopalakrishna Mahesh of Financial Crest LLC, Vinodh Parameswaran of Springboard, Shameer of By The Startups community, Senthilkumar Rajappan of Halycon Ventures, Shyam Siddarth of Tamilpreneur community and Bargav Director of JSS Nature Products among others.
Participants of the bootcamp were provided with hands-on training on how to develop Business Model Canvas (BMC), a strategic management template designed for developing new business models and documenting existing ones, for their startup. Founder of Startup Payanam, Nawin Krishna handled the BMC session, while Sathya Murthy, Incubation Manager at NGI TBi, coordinated the ideation bootcamp. Dr. Vaikundaselvan, Executive Director of NGI TBI, welcomed the participants, and facilitated the bootcamp including food, accommodation and recreation activities.
The bootcamp, designed for aspiring entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas, share their passions, and side hustle into functioning businesses, proved to be a breeding ground for networking opportunities with thriving entrepreneurs and business mentors .
