The newly installed Pollachi chapter of By The Startups Networking Community & Accelerator started with a bang, hosting a small meetup of around 25 startup entrepreneurs and business owners from Coimbatore, Pollachi, and other Kongu regions.
The By The Startups Pollachi chapter led by Deepika Sampath, the founder of Odea Development, Coimbatore, hosted the chapter’s first-ever meet on Oct. 25, 2024, ably supported by her team. The networking meet, aimed at connecting startups and business owners from in and around Coimbatore and Pollachi, started with a welcome note by Deepika, followed by a brief introduction about the community, its exponential growth, and the vision shared by Shameer, the founder of By The Startups Community. All the participants were then requested to pitch their product or service, helping them understand each other’s offerings, specific needs, and expectations.
An exclusive session for participants to share the myriad of problems confronting today’s business activities threw insights on how to solve them effectively and plan for the future. Matured businesses in the revenue stage helped startups, especially in their idea and growth stage, offering tips and hacks on scaling and expanding business operations. Techniques for go-to-market, digital marketing, auto-pilot mode, entrepreneurial mindset, funding, and customer acquisition were discussed elaborately during the session, followed by a one-on-one networking session wherein participants swapped their business cards and exchanged referrals and business prospects. Shameer delivered the meet’s vote of thanks.
The cafe arranged and served a sumptuous brunch, delighting everybody’s taste buds. The meet included an Angel investor and investment syndicate that discussed the possibilities of funding potential startups in the immediate future. With around 15+ business proposals and 3 investment prospects discussed in the meet, the best is yet to come. “We will do our best to follow up on the deals and execute them in the best interest of the concerned parties,” says Shameer. Overall, the participants were highly vivacious and expressed their interest in actively participating in all future meets organized by the community.
