KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPREIT), located at Arasur in Coimbatore, conducted a 2-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for a handful of institutions adopted by the college for the training. EDC heads belonging to several institutions including Suguna College of Engineering, Christ the King Polytechnic College, RVS Polytechnic, et al attended the FDP featuring industry experts and mentors who handled different training topics including startup entrepreneurship, innovation, and hands-on field trip.

The overall objective of the FDP program is to equip the EDC heads of the institutions with the required knowledge to manage the EDC cell, train the respective institutions’ students in entrepreneurship and innovation, and help aspirants pursue their passion for becoming entrepreneurs or innovators. It also helped them develop strategic plans for improving entrepreneurship and innovation-related capabilities, activities, and resources in EDCs.

The KPRIET’s CIIED was established to support budding entrepreneurs by offering resources and support to establish, nurture, and effectively manage businesses focused on innovative, socially impactful, and sustainable ideas. The FDP program was coordinated by Dr. Ravi Kumar, Head-CIIED, and Dr.Sreelatha. Associate Head-CIIED and Coordinator-ARIIA, NISP.
