Coimbatore-based GRG School of Management Studies & PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, with the support of TiE Coimbatore chapter, organized a 2-day training workshop to help MSME entrepreneurs overcome the challenges of scaling up, accessing funding, product export, and marketing. The workshop covered a range of topics, including investment strategy, funding and export opportunities in the agriculture and food sectors, business modeling, digital marketing, and financial modeling, besides several case studies of local businesses that have gone global.
Dr.Prabusankar, Professor, GRGSMS & event coordinator said, “With around 40 registered participants, the workshop was open to all MSME entrepreneurs regardless of their industry or sector. It was particularly beneficial for MSME entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses and access new markets, or raise funding through effective hands-on training and networking.”
One of the participants, Madhumitha Haresh, Founder of Coimbatore-based Earthcare biotech, said that the workshop was highly useful in learning about the techniques of brand building, tools for investment analysis, building financial and business models, MSME funding & support systems, Networking opportunities, export process of agri and food products, digital marketing tools & strategies, sustainability business practices, model for leadership excellence, and real-time case studies for taking business at the global level.
A distinguished lineup of speakers including Dr. Sadhasivam, Director, GRGSMS; Senthilkumar Rajappan of YourCoimbatore.com; Shameer of By The Startups Networking Community; Jalapathi CA of Anbarasu & Jalapathi; Kayalvizhi, Assistant Director, Branch MSME Development & Facilitation Office, CBE; Dr.Balaji Radhakrishnan of TNAU; Ravi of Kailash Builders; Sakthivel Kaliappan of StartupTN, Government of Tamilnadu; Premkumar of TiE CBE Chapter and Udayabhanu of Sandfits Foundries enlightened the participants with their in-depth experience and knowledge, and delivered hands-on training assistance in the two-day workshop. While Dr. Savitha Nair, Dean of GRG School of Management Studies, PSGRKW, delivered the inauguration note of the workshop, the valedictory address was given by Dr.Prabusankar.
